Why do we recommend Tuur?

It's not easy to find mattresses and pillows that are made ecologically. Often we don't get much information to know how and where the items were made. Fortunately, it's a different story with Tuur.

The products contain 100% natural latex, organic cotton and wool with (among others) Oeko-Tex certifications.

The cores of the mattresses, toppers and pillows are made from latex from 100% natural origin (natural rubber). Not only is this a durable material, it is also naturally anti-bacterial, anti-allergic and ventilating. The "100%" is emphasized because, according to European legislation, a mattress with a proportion of only 40% (!) Natural latex may already be stamped as 'natural latex mattress'. Its origin is in South East Asia. The producer of this only buys the latex through reliable channels.

Organic cotton is free from pesticides and other harmful substances, it is also breathable and moisture-regulating, unlike the commonly used synthetic fabrics such as polyester, acrylic and nylon.

Sheep wool also has breathable qualities: warm in the winter, cool in the summer. The origin of this is in France. This is guaranteed by the Biolaine label. In addition, the wool is treated with natural essential oils to prevent dust mites, bacteria and fungi.

Moreover, it is produced in its own Belgian factory. In this way they manage to keep the ecological footprint as small as possible and to build transparent relationships with the workers.

Because they also want to build lasting relationships with their customers, they give 120 trial nights. This means that a Tuur mattress can be taken home for testing. Not only do we consider this to be valuable service, but because you know exactly what you are buying, there is no chance of a "mispurchase" (wasted resources)! Good for the wallet and the planet.

And if all that is not enough, 1% of the purchase amount is donated to nature conservation through the organization 1% for the Planet. Tuur is a company after our heart that thinks clearly about how to work as sustainably as possible.
